  The Christmas Market in Nuremberg, Germany is the most important event in the city and is one of the most famous Christmas markets in the world. It takes place every year since 1628 on the Market Square the Hauptmarkt.

Its opening is characterized by the welcome speech of the Angel of Christmas. On the square are installed, dozens of small cottages and kiosks that offer the opportunity to buy Christmas decorations and ornaments typical of the various German regions. The rich cuisine of the region is enriched with Glühwein (hot spiced wine), grilled sausages and the famous gingerbread from Nuremberg.

This market has developed in the rest of the city through other thematic areas. For example, the international market, which is located on the Town Hall Square where the Rathausplatz in display of products from many twin towns such as Nice Nuremberg, Venice, Shenzhen and Atlanta.

There is also children's Christmas. This is another market that offers attractions for children, such as a carousel of other times with reindeer and sleighs of Saint Nicolas, a Ferris wheel and a steam train!
